Furniture Redesign

As an art historian, I focus on old furniture and restore it so it appears modern, eccentric or romantic – as it certainly wasn’t built during the era it came from. In this way, it stays the same in essence, as I retain its core but fit it into today’s modern context of contemporary life. Often times I redesign inherited furniture which is of emotional significance but of little functional value to clients.

After work in my shop – carpentry, painting and upholstery intervention, under my supervision and led by my idea, restyled and rejuvenated, your furniture gets a new chance and a new life. That way, I restore functionality in forgotten or unwillingly-used items.
